February 20th

Hi, I’m Ira Evan Nevius and I live in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur Mexico. I am enjoying the riches of life here in Mexico and I love to share. I
am a water sports/biology/conservationist  videographer/photographer and entrepreneur and my hobbies are directly related(Surfing, Fishing, Hiking, Bird watching, Scuba and Free Diving, etc. etc.. Whoa Neli! I grew up on the coast of Southern California and became addicted to the ocean and nature due to the happiness/clarity/ and peace of mind it gives me being in the outdoors. I moved to Baja California, Mexico for this reason in 1993. Baja California is a Mecca for water sports and outdoor activities. Hundreds of miles of wild coastlines still left and a plethora of  terrestrial ecosystems. if you have not been down here, or even out to see the ocean and nature, It would behoove you to do so. Any info needed on Baja California just leave a comment with your email and I will try to respond ASAP. I am also the bubble master.

  14. Ira –
My family & I briefly met you while buying Chocolate Clams from your buddies white truck. You gave us your web info and such. I’ve been checking it out and you live the life man, something we all aspire to do. Just wanted to say I’m stoked for you and sorry we didn’t get to hang out or pick your brains while visiting Todos Santos. Not sure if you will remember us, but there we were about 9 of us, we had my 2 kids, my mother, wife, my 2 brothers and their significant others.

Any how, we head out to Los Cabos every summer, so hopefully we can hook up for a visit with you next time out.

  15. Cool Tom. Of Course I remember you guys. I wished I could have hung out with you guys as I noticed your mom and all of you were crazy about all that good stuff Juan Pablo had in his Little White Truck. Stay tuned for some awesome recipes im working on. I love Ceviche and Sashimi , Sushi and what not. Im Going to do a Poke like dish with some Ahi Tuna I got. I was wondering if you might know any Poke recipes. I was told it has seaweed in it but I cannot find seaweed in any recipes on the internet. Take care and keep in touch. You can pick my brain any time. Ira

  29. Hello Ira, I am not sure if you remember me, but I was a friend of BigWave Dave and I came down to visit back in 1998. I am a United Pilot and I rented a White Baja Bug and we surfed playa San pedrito mainly. Also on this trip we went to LaPaz and wake boarded then snorkeled with a whale shark. Then the next day we casted as we went out to fish…. We caught 2or3 small dorado and quite a few trash tuna for bait………then we caught 3 80-100lb tuna….. You let me catch two of them and I remember your catch phrase of ” don’t farm it” when the yellow fins struck, which is a variation of don’t buy the farm ….. An aviation term meaning do not crash…….yeah don’t let that tuna off the hook and do not let that reel spill over. ……..
This was one of my all time best vacations…..I have pictures to prove it…..

In any case, I would like to reconnect as I may be finally coming back to Baja often .

And if u still know Dave please have him contact

  30. Hey Ira, how are you? This is Maik from the flight back from La Paz to TJ. Just wanted to say hi. Hope you tried the Peruvian ceviche. I’m still waiting for Eric to contact me from La Paz, but still no luck. Hope to hang soon, either here, or even better, Todos Santos. Can’t wait to get back to one of my favorite places, Baja Sur. Ok, Ira. Talk soon. Maik
