Morros are a gourd like fruit that comes from a tropical tree, rather then a vine. I encountered these dried Morros of different sizes etched and carved into beautiful art forms by the locals. The Indians in the old days would dry them and use them as water containers and cups or bowls. Also called Jicara- Drinking bowl, Gourd, Calabash. I can get these cheap from the Indians who make them. I’ve also seen them made into purses by putting 2 together with a zipper. Rip a barter session, anyone?
